Set out over 200 hectares, each cottage at Denneboom comes with its own particular charm.
Shepherd’s Cottage and Stable Cottage are located inside the wildlife reserve, where eland, zebra, blue wildebeest and springbok roam freely. Because of the peaceful nature of the reserve, the wildlife often visit the cottages to graze and drink in the morning.
The Vineyard Cottages and Vineyard Loft are set alongside our established vineyards and olive trees, with sweeping views of the surroundings hills and farms. There is a communal pool and an outside braai (BBQ) area at each cottage for outdoor dinners in summer.
In most of the cottages, original features such as the thick stone walls, the fireplaces, the eucalyptus wood beams, or reed ceilings have been kept.
Shepherd’s Cottage
In the early 1800s, Shepherd’s Cottage was the home of the herders who cared for the animals on this land. Loving restored to modern standards, the Shepherd’s Cottage is now a comfortable luxurious self-catering cottage with a massive indoor fireplace and outside firepit, two en-suite bedrooms, and its very own private plunge pool.
Stable Cottage

Now carefully renovated to offer luxurious self-catering, the Stables are 200m away from Shepherd’s Cottage, making it a perfect option for family and friend groups who want to stay close, but still need some privacy. Like Shepherd’s Cottage, Stable Cottage has two en-suite bedrooms, a private plunge pool, an indoor fireplace and outside firepit.
Vineyard Cottages
These two semi-detached cottages were renovated in 2016. They have high, exposed beam ceilings and look out over the vineyards, olive trees and Paardeberg mountain. Each cottage has its own inside and outside entertainment area and private braai area. Both vineyard cottages have two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and big glass doors leading outside. The Vineyard Cottages share a swimming pool with the Vineyard Loft.
Vineyard Loft
The Vineyard Loft is a semi-detached cottage overlooking the vineyards. Downstairs, there is a lounge, main bedroom and bathroom; the upstairs bedroom is an open mezzanine area. The Vineyard Loft and Vineyard Cottages share a swimming pool.
