Terms and Conditions

1. Arrivals and Departures
Check in: Once the booking is made you will receive a booking confirmation with all the necessary information for your stay. Check in takes place from 15:00 until 18:00 on the day of arrival. Guests are requested to inform Denneboom Vineyards and Wildlife of their estimated time of arrival at lease 24 hours prior to their check-in, so that the check-in process may run as quick and effortless as possible. Late check-ins need to be arranged at least 24 hours before arrival.
Check out: Before 11:00 on the day of departure.

2. Bookings
Denneboom VW reserves the right, at all times and without statement of reasons, to cancel a booking within 48 hours. All bookings will be confirmed via email. The invoice must be checked on receipt for any errors. Possible or claimed inadequacies must always be notified by email or within 48 hours following the date of the confirmation/invoice.

3. Prices
Please note that all the rates advertised online as well as offline are just a price indication and not binding. Denneboom VW reserves the right to modify the rates at any time. Please use the online bookings calendar on www.denneboompaarl.co.za to check current rates and availability.

4. Accommodation
All cottages sleep a maximum of 4 people (Adults and Children of all ages included). The Shepherd’s and Stable cottages can accommodate a foldaway bed or baby cot, for a 5th person, which will be charged at an additional rate.
The following items or services are included in the price:
– Daily cleaning service (except for Sundays and certain Public Holidays)
– One basket of wood per day (Additional wood is for sale, to guests, on the farm).

5. Pets
We can unfortunately not allow pets of any shape or size in our cottages. If pets do arrive at check-in, Denneboom Management reserve the right to ask that you take your pet to a local kennel or alternatively refuse entrance to the accommodation. Please check information on local kennels or pet-sitting services when making the booking.

6. Payments
A 50% deposit is required to secure all bookings. The balance of the booking must be paid in full before or on the day of arrival. Please email Proof of Payment to [email protected]. Bookings made for a single night, need to be paid in full for confirmation.
Unsecured or Provisional bookings may result in cancellation, as Denneboom VW reserves the right to cancel the booking with immediate effect. Guests are responsible for all damages which they suffer or will suffer as a consequence of a cancellation, as well as all costs involved in cancelling the booking.

7. Changes to bookings
If you would like to make some changes after the booking is confirmed Denneboom VW is not obliged to satisfy these requests. It is at the sole discretion of Management whether these changes can and will be accepted. We require confirmation in writing of your intention to make any changes to your existing booking. If you change your stay to a less expensive period the nightly fee will be re-calculated and a R200 amendment fee will apply.
If, after confirmation of the booking you want to reduce the number of booked cottages or nights, the cancellation policy will be applicable to the cancelled units or nights. Changes within 1 month before arrival, will be treated the same as a cancellation and you will be charged 50% of the total booking cost (see cancellation policy).

8. Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation less than a month before arrival, your deposit of 50% will be non-refundable. In the case of premature termination of the stay, the entire booking amount is payable to Denneboom VW.
Cancellation policy
• More than 1 month prior to arrival: 50% Cancellation fee (50% deposit of full booking value is non-refundable)
• Bookings made for the December school holiday period is non-refundable (Full amount of booking value is due and non-refundable)

9. General rules of behaviour
In order to make the stay on the farm as pleasant as possible for all guests, we expect all the guests to stick to the general rules of behaviour and appearance based on common sense and basic etiquette. Breaching these regulations can lead to removal from the farm without a refund of the rental sum or a part of it. We would also bring to your attention to the fact that it is possible that maintenance and or daily farming activities will be carried out during your stay on the grounds or to the accommodation(s) without you being entitled to any compensation.
No day visitors are permitted on the property unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by Denneboom VW Management.
In the case that day visitors to guests were allowed, they need to vacate the property by no later than 22:00.

10. Unforeseen Circumstances
Denneboom VW and it’s Management and Staff cannot be held responsible for not fulfilling its obligations due to unforeseen circumstances, such as, but not limited to bankruptcy, natural disasters, acts of terrorism or serious threats of terrorist attacks, sabotage or piracy, strike or boycott, acts of governments or any other acts of authority whether lawful or unlawful, blockade, siege or sanctions, accidents, fires, explosions, plagues or any event of a similar nature.

11. Liability
Denneboom VW accepts no liability for: theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay in one of our units, falling into defect or putting out of action of technical equipment and loss or closure of supplies on the farm.
The guests and those who accompany them, are jointly and severally responsible for all loss and/or damage which arises, for Denneboom VW and/or any third party as a direct or an indirect consequence of their stay, irrespective of whether this was caused through actions or refraining from actions by themselves or by third parties, who are at the farm through their making, as well as of all damage which is caused by any animal and/or matter which they have under their responsibility. If you leave your unit in an improper condition, Denneboom VW is entitled to charge R300 for additional deep cleaning costs.

12. Complaints
Despite all the care of Denneboom VW it may occur that you have a complaint. Please inform the Manager or Duty Manager immediately, in order to allow us to solve the matter as soon as possible. Should the complaint not be settled to your satisfaction, you have the option, for up to 7 days after departure from the farm, to lodge the complaint by email.

13. Assumption of risks
Please remember that you will be staying on a working farm with live animals and potentially dangerous farm equipment amongst other hazards. You must also be aware that some of the equipment in and around the cottages (such as fireplaces, swimming pools, etc.) may be dangerous if misused. Whilst we take great care to keep you safe, accidents can happen and neither we nor our staff are responsible for such accidents (to the greatest extent permitted by law). It is your responsibility to supervise any children. If you notice that any equipment looks faulty, dangerous and/or unsafe, you must please inform Management as soon as possible.

14. Insurance
You are strongly recommended to take out personal travel insurance for all members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate for your particular needs. Please read your policy details and take it with you on holiday.

15. General
These general conditions are applicable to all reservations, directly or indirectly made with Denneboom Vineyards and Wildlife. Alterations are reserved on the contents of the publications. Obvious errors are not binding.
